FLEAS

Fleas are usually found on cats, dogs, carpets, dusty floors, sandy sub floors and even grassy areas. The common names Cat Flea and Dog Flea would suggest that a particular species is specific to the host. This is not the case, and either can be found biting various hosts including humans.

You should follow this procedure before any treatment. The premises should be cleaned. Areas where pets rest or sleep should be given special attention. All vacuuming should be burnt or sprayed with an aerosol to kill any Fleas or Flea larvae. Pet bedding should be washed or replaced and pets given appropriate Flea treatment. Your local vet will advise you on the best products to use.
