Kordon how it works?
Kordon is made of a geotextile fibrous webbing containing a termiticide chemical, ie deltamethrin, which is sandwiched between 2 sheets of plastic. Deltamethrin is highly repellant to termites and will kill them on contact.
Unlike other alternatives on the market, Kordon is easy to install with a higher margin for error. Yet it is highly effective to protect all concerned from the hidden entry of highly destructive termites into the building.
If for example, the termites entering the lower reaches of a wall cavity from minute gaps in brickwork or in ground footings, and attempt to go around or through the Kordon barrier in the wall cavity, those termites that come close to the deltamethrin webbing edging will be repelled. If they persist, Kordon will kill the termites as they attempt to pass through the Kordon material.
Kordon provides long-term termite protection with an inherent confidence level not afforded by any alternative product on the market. For this reason Kordon is the recommended termite barrier product for use by builders and specified by architects in all conditions across Australia.
